AMAA blow: Night of Tributes, Songs holds for Peace Anyiam-Osigwe.

Activities leading to the burial of the recently deceased founder of AMAA awards started today at the National Theatre. The night of Tributes held in her honour was attended by well-wishers and her colleagues in the industry.

Representing the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the GM/CEO read a speech on behalf of his principal.

The Minister described Madam Peace as a dexterous hardworking personality who helped people around her grow. He asked the Lord for fortitude for the film industry to bear the loss.

Prof Ododo shared his experience with the late “Oueen of Nolloywood” whom he said he met through a phone call and saw in person for the first time at the 2022 AMAA. He observed that her investments in the growth and development of young creatives is the greatest legacy she is bequeathing to humanity for it’s in them the future of the film industry lies.
