Chico Ejiro was well celebrated today in a fitting Artists Night which held at the Entrance ‘C’ Lawn of the National Theatre, Iganmu Lagos. The event which had in attendance members of the Association of Movie Producers, Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), the cream de la cream of Nollywood, movie marketers and fans of the late Director was a very touching and moving event. Those who spoke on the occasion include: Zeb Ejiro, brother of the deceased, Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), Hon. Desmond Elliot, Prof Sunday Ododo, Alh Adedayo Thomas, MD. NVFCB to mention a few. Segun Arinze anchored the event while ably assisted by Paul Obazele. The wife and children of the bereaved were in attendance all through the event.
The GM/CEO of the National Theatre Prof. Sunday E. Ododo fsonta, FNAL announced that the National Theatre shall immortalize Chico Ejiro with an annual National Theatre Chico Ejiro Film Festival. The event had a huge turnout with active support from the National Theatre; it was a befitting Night of tributes for the late Nollywood Producer/Director, Chico Ejiro.
