The Special Roundtable on Corporate Partnership for National Theatre Programmes, Products and Services was a success as the line-up of events, cultural and creative contents which the Prof. Sunday E. Ododo, fsonta, FNAL, GM/CEO presented to the gathering of “…top echelon of carefully selected corporate bodies and individuals who we have identified as important to the new thinking of the Management of the National Theatre and its vision for a new modern National Theatre we can all be proud of.” In his Welcome Speech at the event, the GM/CEO said the Special Roundtable was organized for the mutual benefits of the National Theatre and the identified representative of the private sector.

Dr. Edward Olutoke – President Ikeja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Olayinka Olajumoke, Mr. Greg Oduntayo- Chairman of R2TV, Mr. Tade Adekunle- Chairman, Keskese Advertizing, Miss Bimbo Eso- Evergreen Musical Company, The General Manager- NAIRDA Limited, Mr. Bimbo Adegboye- VACC, Mr. Joseph Edgar-CEO, Duke of Shomolu Productions and the General Manager of NTA Channel 10, Lagos were some of the participants at the Roundtable. Some of the participants reacted to the “menu” of programmes which included: Open Theatre; National Festival of Horns and Flutes; Quarterly Public Play Reading; National Theatre Academy; Talent Hunt Project; Sights and Sound of Durba; Festival of Royal Regalia; National Theatre Monograph Series and Exhibition of Arts and Crafts, Cottage Theatre Development Series, Digital Music and Studio Projects among others, were very impressed with the new thinking in the piloting of the affairs of the National Theatre.

Prof. Sunday E. Ododo, fsonta, FNAL, told the gathering that he was happy with the feedbacks and how some of the programmes he expounded on were received with Mr. Greg Oduntayo- Chairman of R2TV and Miss Bimbo Eso of Evergreen Music Limited saying they are ready to partner with the National Theatre on these new initiatives. They were much impressed that the Prof. Sunday E. Ododo and management of the National Theatre is planning, training and putting everything in place so that when the National Theatre is ready we will all be proud of it again
