The festival was divided into two distinct sessions. The morning workshop focused on “Inclusive Opportunities,” where participants explored creative entrepreneurship and strategies for building sustainable businesses in the creative industry. A complementary “Inclusive Storytelling Workshop” aimed to empower underrepresented voices through various artistic mediums including theatre, film, and literature.
Mrs. Tola Akerele, General Manager and CEO of the National Theatre, opened the evening session with a speech highlighting the institution’s recent achievements. She expressed gratitude to the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Miss Hannatu Musa Musawa, for her role in restoring the National Theatre. Akerele also commended the National Theatre staff, the Nigerian Association of Theatrical Practitioners (NANTAP), and various partner organizations for their continued support.
